Q : What is Conduit Pipe?
A conduit is a general term for a means of conveying something from one location to another. Pipe is a tube or hollow cylinder for the conveyance of elctrical wire, fluid or gas. The terms Pipe and tubing are interchangeable.
The word pipe implies a level of rigidity and permanence, whereas a hose is usually portable and flexible. Pipe may be specified by standard pipe size designations, such as Nominal Pipe Size, or by by outside diameter (OD) and wall thickness. Many industrial and government standards exist for the production of pipe. Other than electric wiring Conduit Pipe is also used in furniture industry, making of grills, carriers etc.

The following names are often used in international parlance as a synonym to Steel Conduit Pipes:- Black Steel Tube, Electric Resistance Welded (E.R.W.) Steel Tube, MS Tube, Screwed & Socketed Steel Tube or just Steel Tube etc.
 
Q : What are the benefits of steel conduit tubes/pipes?
The following are the benefits of steel conduit tubes/pipes:-
1. Competitive life-cycle costs.
2. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) shielding: - Steel conduit can provide shielding for computers and sensitive electronic equipment from the electromagnetic interference caused by nearby power distribution systems. EMI can cause distortion on monitors; the alteration, destruction or loss of valuable digital data; and the disruption of communications. Research by Georgia Tech shows that the use of steel conduit reduces electromagnetic fields at 60 Hz power frequency levels by as much as 95 percent.
3. Physical protection of conductors: - What’s there? Sharp nails, drill bits, screws, powerful nail guns, heavy equipment. Not to mention masonry workers, HVAC installers and other tradesmen. What can you do to protect your vulnerable electrical conductors from physical damage? Specify steel conduit. Steel conduit is tough. It provides the best physical protection you can get.

7. Non-combustible: - When non-metallic conduit is exposed to fire or elevated temperatures it can burn or decompose, generating smoke, heat and toxic gases, and opening up a pathway for the fire to spread throughout the building. Steel conduit helps inhibit the spread of fire because it’s non-combustible. That’s why it’s permitted in all environmental air spaces. Plus steel conduit is easier and less costly to seal when it penetrates floors, walls and ceilings.

10. Adaptable to future wiring changes: - Today, the need to replace or upgrade power, data and communications circuits can happen overnight. Requirements for more sophisticated electronic equipment, increased power requirements or new applications can cause owners and tenants to demand changes in the wiring of their plants, retail complexes or buildings. Steel conduit is adaptable. It makes it easier to pull old wiring and install new systems. Steel conduit provides the quickest and most efficient changeover or upgrading of electrical conductors.
 
Q : What are the general safety codes for electric wiring?
The intention of wiring safety codes is to provide technical, performance and material standards that will allow efficient distribution of electrical energy and communication signals, at the same time protecting persons in the building from electric shock and preventing fire and explosion. Q : What type of Conduit Pipe would I require for electric wiring?
Conduit Pipe required for wiring systems in a home is quite different from the one to be installed for commercial and office establishment. For home there are relatively low power requirements, infrequent changes to the building structure and layout, usually with dry, moderate temperature, and noncorrosive environmental conditions. In a light commercial environment, more frequent wiring changes can be expected, large apparatus may be installed, and special conditions of heat or moisture may apply. Heavy industries have more demanding wiring requirements, such as very large currents and power ratings, frequent changes of equipment layout, corrosive, wet or explosive atmospheres. So, one must take a decision keeping the above mentioned factors in mind.
 
Q : Steel Conduit Pipe or Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) Pipe, which one is most suitable for electric wiring?
Steel and plastic compete against one another not only on the basis of the price per unit of meter but also on the basis of the pricing for the fireproofing that must be added in order to satisfy the passive fire protection requirements that are mandated through building codes. Steel and concrete can embed within each other more firmly as compared to PVC. Also steel provides more safety in case of short circuit (which can eventually cause fire) as current from leakage when passes through steel tube will immediately turn the MCB off and the problem can be sorted out, whereas in case of PVC the leakage might not be detected that easily. In circumstances of Natural Hazards like earthquake etc. Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) Pipe might not withstand with the comparable strength as that of Steel Conduit Pipe implying that Steel Pipe is more reliable with respect to overall safety standards.
 
Q : What are different types of Conduit Pipes used for electric wiring?
Insulated wires may be run in one of several forms of raceway between electrical devices. This may be a rigid steel or aluminum pipe, called a conduit, or in one of several varieties of metal or non-metallic tubing. Wires run underground, for example, may be run in steel or plastic tubing encased in concrete, but metal elbows may be used in severe pulls. Wiring in exposed areas, for example factory floors, may be run in raceways or cable trays. For protection from flame spread, fire stopping material of silicone may be used. However, the thickness of such material along the cable must be held to a minimum, else this becomes a heat limit. Special fittings are used for wiring in potentially explosive atmospheres.

If your order is through an Authorized Distributor/Dealer, then Distributor/Dealer will himself give the details of the payment schedule. In other case the payment schedule will be at the discretion of the Head Office Accounts department  after the acceptance of order

Q : How much time it will take for the delivery of goods?
